Weekly Update 24/02/2023

Youth & Philanthropy Initiative (YPI) – S3 Presentations

The Youth and Philanthropy Initiative (YPI) is a powerful active citizenship programme, empowering young people to make a difference in their communities while developing a range of skills. Our young people within S3 have been working with local charities over the last few months and on Wednesday afternoon we held the finals where selected teams championed their charity via presentations.  Well done to all our young people involved and congratulation to our winning charity- Unity, Scottish Borders Rape Crisis Centre.

Careers Fair

On Tuesday evening we were able to host our annual Careers Fair with 38 different stalls.  We were lucky to have a variety of local businesses, universities and colleges with lots of positive chat about possible pathways and careers.  Feedback from all those involved was very positive and we have planned follow up sessions throughout the year. Thank you to Developing Young Workforce for organising.
