Clock Off Update
The purpose of this study is to develop and refine a peer-led school-based programme to reduce night-time interactive electronic device and social media use among young people.
Our S1 students have successfully completed a full-year group survey in collaboration with field officers from the University of Glasgow. Following this, a selection process was conducted to choose peer mentors.
The mentors have now completed two training sessions, with an additional two sessions, this month, to be conducted by the charity Sleep Action.
Flu Immunisations
The NHS immunisation team will be in school next Thursday to give the flu vaccine to all those who have handed in a completed consent form. A large number of pupils have not returned their consent forms, please ensure your young person has handed theirs in to the school office.
Scottish Government Cycling Opportunity for all KHS Learners
Don’t have a bike or have a bike that is currently broken or unsafe? The Scottish Government have funded an initiative to provide a bicycle – free of charge – to any learner who either does not currently have a bike or whose bike is in a state of disrepair. If you feel your child would benefit from this amazing opportunity, please ask them to see Mr Dalziel (room 2004) to register their interest.
Thank you to our S6 Buddy Committee
A huge thank you to our amazing KHS S6 Buddy Committee for organising this week’s S1 Buddy Halloween Social.

Well done to all those involved in organising and supporting Wednesday evening’s S1 Halloween Buddy Social. It was an absolutely fantastic evening of fun, dancing and party games! Our grateful thanks to: our S6 Buddy Committee for organising; S6 helpers who enjoyed the occasion as much as the S1s; all staff who supervised the event and all S1 attendees whose enthusiasm made the evening such a success. Please enjoy some photos of last night’s event! More photos can be found on our KHS Facebook page #pridekhs
