Growing Confidence Programme

Ever wondered what exactly goes on in your teenager's head?  Well the Growing Confidence programme is a series of informal sessions which will help unravel the mysteries of living with a teenager, and shed some light on both how their brain works and what parents and carers can do to support them along the way.  You can attend all six sessions, or simply come along to one which takes your fancy.  Ultimately the aim is to highlight just how different the teenage brain really is, techniques to better support them, and develop resilience to overcome obstacles - all of which will increase their confidence and resilience, and develop more positive relationships.

If this is of interest to you, then click on the link, decide which session suits you and give us a call on 01573 224444 to put your name down and save your place. We look forward to seeing you there.

KHS Memories Project

When the High School moves to its new site at Angraflat later this year, the present Kelso High School building will close.  No decision has yet been taken about its future. However there will be a number of events to mark the closure of this iconic and much-loved building.  Please see flyer attached below with all the details.

Senior Phase - English and Media Parent / Carer Course Information Sheets

Over the course of this week all S4-S6 English and Media pupils have been issued with a Parent/Carer Information Sheet about their specific course,  detailing course content, assessment information, assessment deadlines and Home Study expectations.  These Information sheets have been designed to assist Parents / Carers in knowing how best to support their child over the course of this academic year.

If your child's sheet has been 'lost' between school and home, please just contact the School Office - the English and Media Departments will be happy to issue another one.

S4/5/6 Information Evening

We would like to invite parents and our students within S4/5/6 to attend an informal information session within the school on Wednesday 20th September 6.30pm until 7.30pm.  There will be a representative from SQA to talk about the recent changes to National Exams
