GTCS Scotland National Probationer Event

Congratulations and well done to Miss Armstrong (our HE Teacher) who was selected to represent Scottish Borders at the above National Event yesterday.  She was presented with her Standard for Full Registration Certificate from Depute First Minister, John Swinney. #PRIDE

Education Maintenance Allowance (EMA)

It’s time to apply for EMA.  Are you staying on at school and will be 16 before 29th February 2020?  If so you may be eligible for EMA payments of £30 per week.  Please collect an EMA Form from the School Office.

It’s Pride Month! 

We are hoping to of achieved our Bronze Charter by the end of the month. This helps to ensures that we provide an inclusive, welcoming and safe environment for all students and staff.

School Uniform Orders

S1-S5 pupils

21st July is the cut-off date for ordering uniform online with Border Embroideries to guarantee delivery before school returns in August.

There is a limited amount of stock of red ties, jumpers and cardigans in various sizes available from the School Office. Payment by cash or cheque.

S6 pupils

Jumpers/cardigans can only be ordered via the School Office. The deadline for ordering was today (14/06/19).

Black ties are back in stock and can be purchased from the School Office by cash or cheque.

River Tweed – The Pride of Kelso

A wonderful film produced by The KHS media group about our new project 'The River Tweed - The Pride of Kelso' a huge thanks to Ms Dunlop, Mrs Changleng, Mr Finn and Mr McAndrew for supporting our youngsters to make this film. There is a link below to preview this film.

Scottish Schools Athletics Championships 2019

Congratulations to Douglas Young who won the Senior Boys 100m Sprint at the Scottish Schools Athletics Championship on Friday at Grangemouth.  This is a huge achievement for Douglas and sees him holding National Titles in both the 60m Indoor and 100m outdoor categories.  This was his last competition representing the school and we wish Douglas all the best for his future sporting career.

Further congratulations go to Ben Lyall (S5) who reached the Semi Final of the U16 100m event.
