Kelso 15s/16s Football Report

This past Sunday Kelso travelled to Hawick to play their 16s team with their last chance of reaching the cup final on the line.  It did not go well as four goals in ten minutes made the half-time score Hawick 4-0 Kelso.  Mikey Kavannagh did manage to pull one back for the visitors after the break and Kelso were well in the game, hitting the post and putting Hawick under severe pressure.  Then, against the run of play, the home team scored three more easily avoidable goals to make the score Hawick 7-1 Kelso at full time.  The result didn’t reflect the performance as Kelso played some of their best football this Season and pleasing on the eye.  Kelso travel back to Hawick in a fortnight to play their 15s team in a game that is only being played for bragging rights as the cup final has already been decided.  Hawick 16s vs Duns at Galashiels 3G pitch at Netherdale on Sunday 11th June if anyone is interested.  I will certainly be there!  Report by Rhys Lawrence (S4).
