Kelso 16s Football Report

Kelso played last weekend’s fixture on a freezing Friday night on the brand new 3G pitch in Hawick.  The result wasn’t that great but the pitch certainly was.  The final score was Hawick 16s 5 Kelso 0 in what was a game that had the potential to be amazing but didn’t live up to the hype.  Kelso more than held their own for long periods and only a spectacular strike broke the deadlock.  Chances were few and far between after that and Hawick’s remaining goals came from some scrappy defending.

Kelso will attempt to bounce back this Sunday when they entertain their fellow strugglers Selkirk at Woodside Park.  Kick-off is 10.30am and everyone is welcome to come along and support the team.  Report by Rhys Lawrence (S4)
